Jonathan…it’s not as difficult to clean the chassis of a 993 as you may think, once you get the right stuff, it’s really easy and quick. Disassemble as much as you can (fender liners, brakes and the plastic protection parts).

First, don’t use a wire brush! (Only brass if needed) It depends on how much cosmoline Porsche sprayed on at the factory (my car had a lot).

Take a look at the products I’ve been using (you can’t use to much WD40 or 303) and you should get your car to the condition you want it. Time and care will work wonders.

I’m currently in the process of doing my spring clean-up and have attached some pics for motivation. Good luck and please give me a call if you get into trouble

Good God almighty your car looks clean...

Is that some type of respirator mask in your pile? I purchased some painters masks thinking that would be enough....

What is the 3M product?...I cant make it out in the picture...

Jonathan...yes, use a good respraitor with the 3M adhesive remover and put on nitril gloves. The big bottle of 3M is Imperial Hand Glaze and it can be used to clean the painted fender wells, but be carefull because the paint is very thin. Put on a coat of good long lasting wax like One Grand BLITZ wax on and your done.
