Help installing M030 springs and Shocks...
I'm in the process of installing a set of ROW M030 shocks and springs. Got my old standard units off and I'm in the process of transferring the upper spring perch/hat to the M 030 units.
However, upon tightening down the upper spring perch, the springs are still loose about the shocks, about a 1/2-inch play (I did not even need to use the spring compressor).
Does this sound right??? Is this to be expected due to the lower ride height of the ROW springs??? What am I doing wrong??? This goes for both the front and rear units. Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ken

Ken,
Read the suspension FAQ on pcar.com

They (Dan and Viken) seem to have had the same "problem", so what you are seeing is normal, I guess.

Yep, that's normal. I remember the rears being a little worse. I tried to make sure the springs seated correctly in the pearches when I let the car down. I remember reading they will seat correctly anyhow. I installed the bilsteins with the extra threads to allow you to adjust ride height a bit. This took some of the excess out as I adjusted the bottom mount to shorten the spring.
