Default Help wiring new roof mounted 3rd brake light

I ordered an oem roof mounted 3rd brake light kit (Suncoast) for my early 95 coupe to go with my new Euro RS wing (MAShaw). I got the impression from a Porsche TSB that even the early 993 had the wiring ipre-nstalled for the top mounted light. When I pull back the weatherstripping at the top of the glass, I see a brown and black wire. I can't tell if they are connected to rear defroster or not. There seems to be the defroster tabs on the glass at the top as well.

Any one have any insights/wiring info? I hesitate to pull on these wires if they are actually connected to the defroster.

Thanks.

Keith

Wiring diagram shows Black and Brown for the cabrio stop lights whilst for the defogger shows Brown, Red/black and red/white (3 wires).

Easiest way to tell... connect your voltmeter (or get a cheap one for $5 somewhere) and set it to measure 20V DC. Connect to the two wires in question and step on the brake! It should read ~12V when you do.

HTH,

Clive.
