Superior in some areas of performance but not superior in all areas and not far superior in any.

I've driven the 996 at Road Atlanta and still prefer the 993...especially if I was going to keep it for longer than a 3 year lease.

Mark my words, Ray will be in a 996 before it is over. He is still in a bad state of denial.
In the immortal word of John Wayne in "The Searchers", "THAT'LL be the day!"

(would LOVE a 993 TT; 996 just didn't feel like something I'd enjoy when I drove it. The 993 was totally different; I wanted one when I first saw one and wanted one even more after my first test drive)
