rennlister in San Francisco for convention
Hey all. I'm in San Francisco attending a convention and I may have time on Friday to do something Porsche related. I don't have my 993 with me, of course, but I am looking for suggestions of Porsche "destinations" near San Francisco. Porsche specialists, tuner shops, parts suppliers, etc..
If there is some place here that I, as a Porsche enthusiast should go, please let me know.
TIA

If you have a rental car, take a trip up the Infinion (Sears Pt.) and visit the Racer's group. Infinion is great motorpsorts venue and almost always has something going on. You'll see amazing iron just parked around the paddock.
Enjoy !

If you are downtown at the convention center, Infineon is maybe 30 minutes away (north over the Golden Gate Bridge) and right at the edge of wine country. Heading south from the city on 101 for about 30 minutes would take you close to Devek and viperbob (about 3 minutes from the Woodside Road exit). You could also simply drive Route 1 south along the coast to Ano Nuevo (a great drive in a Porsche or any other car) and stop and see the Elephant Seals - there are many ther now as it is birthing/breeding season. This stop is about 30 miles north of Santa Cruz and about 1.5 hours from the convention center.

I second Tom's recommendation for Infinion. Great dhort drive and the chance to see some fast cars running. But if you decide to head South to Viper Bob at his shop "Devek", please check on him for me and make sure he's working on my car....
See you Saturday Bob....

Your car was in pieces all over the floor yesterday. Well, it's a slight exaggeration but they were certainly working on it. Even Adam was there and assisting. Mine probably won't be done until later on Saturday, so I may see you there.

Macanswer,
If you're in the EAST Bay come check out PARTSHeaven in Hayward it's across the San Mateo bridge.
I'll be working on Saturday from 9am-3pm. (510)782-0354 for directions or 1-800-767-7250.
