Question OT. Need L.A. advice

Hey West Coasters..In January, I will be in L.A (Bev. Hills) for some certification exams.....I will have the 16th and 17th to see some sites. Any advice on places to visit to get a Porsche/auto-enthusiast fix (auto-x event, museum, big parts store etc)? I am tired of just staring at my own car in the garage. Thanks in advance.

I believe the 16th is a Sunday. If you are not busy in the morning maybe we can meet for coffee. I need to double check w/ wifey to make sure nothing is planned!

Not too far from BH is the Peterson Museum on Wilshire blvd, I think. Also, if you want to go to a GREAT auto bookstore, then there is Autobooks in Burbank (Magnolia & Cordova). I've been going there for nearly 20 years. They have everything from F1 to VWs.. Actually, there's quite a bit out here as I'm sure others will chime in.

If you have Sat am open, there is a car show every Sat morning in Newport Beach @ 7 am. Lots of Porsche, Ferarri, never know what will show up.. Couple of weeks ago a Jag D type was there. Crystal Cove shopping Center on PCH. Usually about 100 plus cars.

Great idea to get away for awhile. Remember to stock up on Rejex for the trip back

Perhaps the dates might correspond with a run of some sort in that area?

Good luck and have fun.

If the weather is decent and the roads are clear, I'm sure a few of us can show you a good time on our canyon roads if you are up for an early Sunday morning run. Otherwise, I have no clue what to do as I have only lived here all of my life and need out-of-towners to get me out of the house.
