there was a thread about this car sometime last week. as i recall, consensus was that the 350 hp & 500 ft/lb of torque were unlikely.

I have an engine pretty close to that. 525 ft-lbs of torque (1600 rpm) and 250 HP (2600 rpm). Of course, I would not choose to put a 7.3L diesel into a 911.

I'll chime in on why not to buy the so called "real thing" ... an early light weight car with that motor and set up is a heck of a fun car. I realize this is a 993 board, personally I'd love an early car with 993 motor. To me its the best of both worlds.
