232 - 17" Alloy Wheels ("Generic" code for 17" wheels?)
582 - Storage pocket (engine cover)
535 - remote control alarm
502 - Finland production
XLA - Larger cross section, Chrome Oval Exhaust Pipe
XMY - Roll Bar Painted Artic Silver
XNE - Wood/aluminum/leather steering wheel

Does your friend have a Boxster, by any chance?

You're correct Graham, it has to be a Boxster because it's made in Finland.

Hey now that I'm thinking of it, I myself have an option 502. :p

Option Code 718 on a 1995 993

Option code 718 on a 1995 993 means that the car was built in the "prior year", meaning 1994. Since the 1995 993 was introduced in the US in the spring of 1994 the early/low VIN cars all have the 718 option code.

it is a Boxster!
Thanks for all the help. The car does have a wood steering wheel which I thought was weird given that everything else is aluminum, including the silver painted rollbar.

gotta love rennlist!
