I think the people who park next to our cars when we are parked way away are trying to protect them. I have intentionally parked next to nice cars to protect them because I know I will not ding their doors. Now if some bearter POS does the parking, I would be suspicious.
You guys' cars look great side by side. Did they hit it off.

Thanks, I love the Iris and have been very fortunate to get the color that I wanted .
I think the cars definitely hit it off as they looked so good together. As we came into the shopping center parking lot we got as many double takes as a gorgeous busty model walking down a main street in a bikini - heh heh

Darryl,
I think you're right, tell me if you have had this happen while you drive down the freeway. It seems most days if I drive down the freeway my car acts kind of like a sports car sweeper. I always laugh to myself as most times when I pass another sports car they invariably pull right in respectfully behind me and down the road we go until we pass another sports car, then we are three. Put this to music if you like. I'm sure if I was to get passed by a nicer car than mine I would likely follow behind for a while also until I got a good enough look. Same thing in the parking lot, they do probably just want to get a good look and follow the leader a bit. These cars do have a certain amount of charisma even if I don't.
Maybe if we think of it as more of a compliment it's much easier to take.
