My wife just saw the picture of the brace and asked if it was a towel rack. BRILLIANT... What could be cooler than a carbon fiber towel rack? This would look great in any bathroom (and in my wife's case I'll probably save money over the fu-fu brand name towel rack). Maybe next, a carbon fiber toilet seat???

Default Bilstein HDs with the extra 30mm.

Viper Bob,

I would be interested in a set of HDs with the extra 30mm..... for my 96 993tt.

Thanks

Hmm. Now there's an idea - I'll buy my wife a towel rack for Xmas! Thanks for the tip, VB.

The RS shifter is not a straight fit as the angle of the shifter caused the shifter not to slide smoothly in. With a bit of dremeling of the opening to the tunnel (not necessary but made it a little easier for me), Bob's comment "Just shove it through with a hammer/jack!" and my trusty Sears alum jack, it went in and I was happily enjoying the shortened throw on the drive on Saturday.
Jauder, you should of had a DIY day.

Any pictures of the install or dimple you had to make?

Thanks

I actually took Bob's tunnel cover as he does not need it anymore so it was pre dimpled. I guess I could do a DIY day but there would have to be beer involved

Sorry, I dont have pics of the install but there are some on the p-car.com site and if you search for short shift... there are some additional hints.

BTW you do not have to remove the console. All you have to do is to remove the shift **** from above. All the rest of the work is done below.

Read the suspension FAQ on Pcar.com...

http://p-car.com/susfaq.html

in the section by Dan 96C2 St. Louis. he mentions the shortcomings of the regular HDs. Since Dan's post, Gert has come up w/ the HDs w/ additional lowering range.

Better than a CF toilet seat, how about a GT3 toliet seat with Stroth harness for those times when you've had too many bean burritos!

If you are changing your springs........Eibach,H&R,etc.........THIS will actually lower your car. The 30mm of extra thread on the shocks,is not needed.I am not sure if they help with RoW spring set-up.I am assuming the extra threads allow you to lower the car that extra 30mm.

Thanks Juader. I saw the DIY on p-car. I'm just wondering how much damage I need to do on the C4 to get the short shifter to work.

Providing beer is the easy part!
