Thumbs up 993 aftermarket turbos owners>>>

I recently had a ride in a RUF 993BTR C2cabriolet. What a jaw dropping....knee slapping -wheelspinning- wastegate popping OUTRAGEOUSLY FUN- experience that was. The owner & I couldnt stop laughing and we only went for short cruise. The car was stupid fun fast and when the boost hit it was intocicating & raw!

Who has an aftermarket turbocharged 993 and what were your experiences? Good & Bad. All brands of Turboed 993s please respond. There has to be several: RUF, RS Tuning, FVD, TTP, Lotec, and perhaps ANDIAL conversions out there.

I have my car dialed in for street & track....but 450-500hp in a 993RS would be like being 20 years old again. Maybe the answer is to buy an engine fron a 993TT and use that as the starting point.

I believe that car was once mine. Black on black cabriolet. Amazing car. I had it built in 1997 by ruf. I sold it in 2003. Really miss it. Can you tell me where it is?

Umm, the original post was from 2001. I'm pretty sure you'd know if that was your car if you sold it in 2003

Ilko: Clearly you are much younger and brighter than I. That coulda happened if it had been me. After all, it was 13 year ago and I can't remember what I did 2 years ago, or with whom I did it.
