WICKED MOTORWORKS -- Great looking cars -- Anyone ever deal with them?
I have often enjoyed looking at the website:
http://admin.wickedmotorworks.com/
because of all the cool pictures of cars there. Obviously, they are taking salvage vehicles and fixing them up for sale. What they do frequently goes against most of the philosophies on this board, but I was wondering if anyone has ever dealt with them. I figure with a good PPI, you might be able to get something really slick!

As long as people know what they're getting into, and get a full-cavity PPI ("I want it deep...and hard." - Beavis and Butthead Do America), why not? Counter to F. Scott Fitzgerald, there ARE second acts in American lives. Just ask W. Live on, bruised Porsches -- just not in my driveway....

you make a good point. If you know what you are getting into, get an extraordinary PPI, have a relatively high risk tolerance and are going to keep the car for a long time it makes sense to evaluate the option. On the surface, they seem to have an amazing collection of salvage cars. If I had a higher tolerance for risk, I would certainly take a closer look at the white GT2; what an amazing car!!!

.... there are damagaed cars that are repaired for/by their owners - done correctly and $$ and time spent to do it right.
.... there are damaged cars that are repaired by people who purchased the wreck, that only plan to resell and make a profit.
... who do you think 'cuts corners' ??

cant imagine driving one of those bastardized cars at or near the limits for sheer fear that things would start flying off and coming apart. strickly for the poser crowd.

I would also not touch one of these but (I'm putting on the flame suit) $69k for a GT2? I am not sure what retail is on that car but its got to twice that price. Again, I would never buy one of these but could something like that be worth an extensive PPI?

That site is almost scary - like Gregg said, salvage title, no history for retail $$. We're all in the wrong business if folks actually buy these cars.

sorry 'fwiw'... would not trust my life on one of their cars. (but that's just me!)
agree w/ max!!! btw: 'wicked' a '95 'gt-2' clone that appears to have a melted rear bumper (near it's exhausts) which btw: appear to be dirty stock pipes... & frankly their cars do not appear to be all that nice.... 'god is in the detail' the car looks like it was probably an 'extra' in "fast'n furious" playin' 2nd fiddle to a rice-supra immho of course.
maybe someone should buy & prove some of us mooks wrong !!!
