I have searched the archives and have not found the same situation...

I had my driver's mirror pulled off at a hand-wash place (hose got caught when backing up). This caused minor damage, but it took about 3 weeks to get the shell repainted and the parts to reconnect the mirror.

When I picked it up from the shop the drivers mirror will move left and right (witht he power switch) but not up and down. The passenger mirror will move up and down, but not left or right.

Any ideas? It just seems crazy...seems like if the swtich were bad, then it would not move a direction at all (on either mirror). Everything was fine with regard to movement prior to the incident.
