Experience: Laser ECHO Jammer by Lidatek?

Wondering if anyone has actually used the LE-10 unit by Lidatek?? Several writeups are seen on the net and they all look favorable. I have seen one of these units mounted in a 993. It looked quite sophisticated and usefull.

SY308,

I also have been reading lots of good test and reviews on the Lidatech unit. I think it was the most effective unit compared to everything else that's avaliable out there. Largely due to Lidatech uses the Gallium laser as it's diffuser, the same laser in the Police laser gun. I even spent some time on the phone with the owner of Lidatech trying to get a better understand on how the unit operated.

I know someone locally here in Georgia who have the Lidatech unit installed on his Maxima, and he swears to me that the unit have saved him from bunch of tickets.

It is my understanding that Lidatek is coming out with a new unit to replace the LE10, called the LaserECHO LE-20. Not sure when they're shipping product, but I'd wait for the new model to come out.

I just checked their website, they say they're taking advanced orders.

I believe the difference in the new updated unit is:

(1). The laser diffuser unit itself is smaller
(2). Updated smaller laser apperature unit
(3). It only shoots the laser beam for 5 seconds after is has detected a laser threat, unlike the old unit which will stay on until the treat detect is gone.
(4). It does not include the control panel unit anymore, replaced by simple switchs, piezo buzzer, and led light as separate parts.

Here's a story I lifted from the PP board:
