I cannot find the tool to unlock the top. It doesnt seem to be in the car? What does it look like. and how is it used?

I assume you mean an electric top that is not working? I think its an Allen key in the tool kit that slides into two slots in the header. This moves the header motors to an open position. You then need to undo the trx bolts, located behind a large plastic cap on either side of the back seats and the top will go down manually.

I am very new to the 993 and didnt know taht the two slots are automaticly done (witch is a new concept because my 944 is manual on the two bolts then its electric)

Hopefully you found that your top switch works fine (note that the parking brake must be engaged).

If the motor doesn't work, the two slots in the top are for using a screwdriver (regular, not phillips) to unlatch the top. I found that using the screwdriver "bit" from the tool kit, chucked into a cordless drill works well (you need a long screwdriver).
