Timely - I was working on this over the weekend.
I am in process of mounting one for my next event, and do not want to drill or use sheet metal screws, so I found this recently on ebay (no affiliation, etc)

The ebay one is fairly generic and uses rear seat belt bolts. I figured I could make it myself, but then that spawned better ideas... I would like it mounted in the center, and not be able to pivot around too much, so made the attached to mount over the hump, and offset forward a little. I was not going to take pictures until I finished tweaking it today and put on the red powder-coating, but since this topic was up this morning....

Phil - yes, I made them myself. I believe there are people who make these (something 5), but at the time, they had no templates for 993's. We got a 4x8 sheet from the local Reynolds Aluminum distributor, traced the carpets, and cut them out w/a jig saw. It was a real hassle. I would recommend buying them if possible.

When I had it in the car, I built a cross-mount across the center tunnel connecting the two inner rear seat belt mounts. Took out the center buckles and bolted in the mount. Extinguisher goes horizontally across the mount with top and bottom facing each seat.
I believe I posted pictures a while back; try an archive search.

Another option is if one uses a harness bar (assuming you're not using a rollbar) then you can (metal) strap it to the bar. I'm using BK's Harness bar and the extinguisher works well there.

I think I have my B-K mount sitting in the garage if anyone wants one. It's the model for electric seats and has the extra mounting plate. As I have a full fire supression system, it's no longer necessary.
