German Auto Fest
I am starting a new thread because I know there will be lots of pictures and comments from today. It was great seeing everyone again and meeting some new people. The ride out of Malibu was awesome and I could not believe all the Porsches parked at the Auto Fest.
Let's see some pictures!

Yes, it was another great day, with lots of great people and great cars. Among the cool things that happened was seeing an old friend that I had not seen since high school (has it really been 29 years?!?) and there he was in the Von's parking lot with his speed yellow 993. He is "the other Fred" now on the 993 Board. It was great meeting up with other listers who were there, a real community we have going here.
After the Fest, Seege and I went up to Cold Springs Taviern up the 154 above Santa Barbara for a cold one and a tri tip. Just great, except for the biker chick who booted me out of the parking spot I had picked out for us! She was bigger than me so we found another place to park.
300 miles later I'm back home looking forward to the next one.

I was seperated from you guys once inside the fest, but I still enjoyed it with my friend... anyone else notice how hard it was to resist buying stuff? sway bars, caster blocks, and rims oh my!
Hopefully next time I'll have my Porsche... I'm hoping my september 26th fun run i will enjoy my own car there.
This event didnt help me miss my car any less...
Unfortunatly I have no pictures, but I'm sure others with a better eye for photos will be posting.

A wonderful (if somewhat slowed by trucks pulling boats, etc) drive, great people and a fun day at the show. I did a lousy job of getting pictures of my Rennlist brother and sisters. Really shameful, since I finally met Joanne the Mother Superior and her husband Robert. Out all the way from Arkansas... just to meet me, they assured me. Many really nice folks, but we split up before I could meet everyone. Next time. I promise. Anyway, a few of my favorite pictures:
1. supermodel Grace Mellor strikes a pose at a really cool racing 944
2. I love this old car
3. so much I took this as well
4. Otis Chandler (ex L.A. Times publisher) brought his CGT
5. a nice 996TT in the parking lot.
6. 4 turbos parked in my garage (Paul (oldguy) and Merritt spent the night)

We tried to see Adam, but both times we went by he was not there. I'll let him explain where he was. One cool thing at your booth was lifting the replacment rotors for the PCCB's - those things are HEAVY!

Yes Fred, I also have some custom 2 piece models being made that will be much lighter. While the 6 piston GT2/GT3 brakes look cool, they have 15% less brake torque than the 14" Brembo 4 piston kit with F50 brakes (actually even a more revised model). Also, the Bremo 14" rotors are 10lbs lighter than the GT3 and the caliper/pads are also 8 lbs lighter... I run this Brembo kit on my car and they are UNREAL... But the factory setup is also much less expensive...
Adam missing.... That is not unusual. I am sure he was gathering intel from others at the show

I must say the MS is quite a stunner, I wanted to make myself available for opperant conditioning but the line was too long, made worse by SOEF cutting in for seconds before everyone had a chance at firsts.
