Humpty Dumpty - Progress At Last
Having been far too busy with other endeavors for months, finally the process of assembling Humpty Dumpty has begun. Yesterday, the carbon fiber oil tank and carbon ceramic muffler were installed. Later this week, the carbon fiber/aluminum front damper mounts and the carbon fiber/aluminum seat brackets will be put into place. Next week, the carbon fiber/titanium struts will be assembled and the carbon fiber/titanium brake accumulator will be installed and, thereafter, the entire suspension and the aluminum lithium brake calipers and carbon ceramic disks will be secured. By the second week of June, the carbon fiber transmission casing pieces will be installed. Thereafter, the engine will be activated. Finally, the carbon fiber hood will be completed by the third week of June and the car should be ready to be shown by July.

Glad to hear that Humpty Dumpty is being reassembled. I am looking forward to it's unveiling as it will shock everyone (in a good way) and not jsut on the surface.
Sounds like the hood issue was sorted out finally?
The CF drive shafts are incredible.
I should have the bare shell done of my own humpty dumpty done by the end of the year - and am planning to do the reassembly myself at this point(depends on the expected move to the east coast).
which should be fun and give me the chance to fix a lot of little problems that cropped up in a car that has been apart more times than i care to think about.
Old thread i know - but you learn something new everyday (CF drive shafts and the damper mounts are particularly interesting to me)
Enjoy!!!

Yes, we are past July and past last December, January, February and March. But, in the interim, rather than assemble Humpty Dumpty, I have been busy developing parts for a number of manufacturers including one we all hold most dear.
In any event, next week thye troops assemble from no less than three countries to put Humpty Dumpty together. And, a few weeks later, senior engineers review it. And, thereafter, you are cordially invited. And I will post pictures.
P.S. For the heck of it, a pictures of the almost finished engine!!
