Post 993 Warning Buzzer

Warning Buzzer comes on with keys out of ignition and in locked position when the door is opened. It is intermittant. Sometimes stops when you put key in switch and cycle to full on then back til lock click is heard; but usually comes back on. Could the buzzer be bad? Can buzzer module be removed permanently w/o shutting something else down as a result. Is it the first or second module you come to from the front direction of the car under driver side cowl? any ideas? Thanks!!

And you are absolutely certain that your lights were always off? (Sorry for asking...)

Parking light (ie turn indicator on and ignition off ) caught me out recently - it took me a little while to figure out why the buzzer was on.

That can happen if you accidentally have your turn signal activated when you turn off the ignition. It took me an embarrasingly long time to figure that out.
