You guys seem to be the experts... I searched like a mad man for almost 2 mos for a 993 cab... just purchased a 98 c2 Cab, 18's, Supple Leather, Motor Sound, Hi Fi, CD Changer, Dual Power Seats, Triple Black w 31K miles. I had a PPI done at a Porsche dealer local to the car.. Said perfect paint & interior, Will probably need a top, has a small tear that may not be repairable. Used it in negotiations to land on 52K shipped to my door (halfwaly cross country. How'd I do? I'm pumped! Will get it in a few days... I PPi'd several cars that were priced much higher, but none of them checked out...

Well optioned and great color combo.....you must negotiate for a living....that is a great deal...cab pices for 993s have been going up at the High Line Auctions

If this is your first Porsche, you are going to have a great summer....if it going to be garaged, I wouldn't worry about the top just yet ;) ;)

That sounds like an excellent deal. Just for referance I looked at a 96 coupe with 27k and they wanted 49k for it. Seems like most 97+98 coupes go in the 50's and conv. usually bring a bit more so congradulations and best of luck with the new ride.

Not bad, I purchased a 97 triple black with 15K miles and less options for a several thousand more. I tried to negotiate for a price, but the dealer would not budge, and I wanted the car to bad to walk away.

That was pre-911, however, last August.

You done good. I also did an intense search for a 993 cab, ended up finding an immaculate Arena Red '97 C2 with 34k in CA similarly optioned to yours. I felt I got a nice deal at $50k plus a little over $1k to have it shipped accross country. Even with the top issue, looks like you did as good or better on your '98.

Anyway, that was a couple months ago, and I am still jacked up. This car is nothing but pure pleasure. I can't beleive I waited so long to get one! Good luck with yours -- I found we've got a nice PCA chapter here, maybe we'll see you there.
