Help with wide-track pontia... errr... posts
Being a tech near-illiterate, I was wondering if someone could help me.
Most of the messages posted in each topic fit nicely unto my laptop's screen.
But every once in a while the messages under a topic appear to be at least two screen-widths wide. Then the only way top read them is to scroll back and forth.
There's nothing under help or FAQs... my guess is there's a very easy fix to bring it down to screen size, but I can't find it.
Can someone help?
thanks in advance

Mike,
Try increasing the resolution of the laptop screen. Put your cursor on the desktop somewhere and right click and scroll down to properties and click on that. That will open the Display Properities box. Click on Settings tab and move the arrow to the right on the sliding scale of the Screen Size area. Just try one size first to see if it helps (ex: go from 600X400 to 800X600). I have mine set on 1400x1050 and I can see almost all of the posts and pictures with out scrolling over the right.

Mike,
I had a similar problem earlier this evening. It wasn't my screen size...I checked. Whatever the problem, it now seems over without changes to my display. I just wanted to let you know you're not alone. This binary stuff can be tricky

If someone posts a picture that is very large - ie. from a digital megapixel camera without resizing it first (I resize all mine to 800x600) - then the whole thread gets the width resized to the width of that picture. This may have been what happened to you. Also, if you change your screen resolution and think its too small, you can select large fonts and icons.

Thanks Brian, Steve and E.J. for the replies and suggestions.
Now that I think about it, there usually is a picture in the thread of posts.
