Default OEM wind deflector removable?

Hi guys,

just got a 97 cab and totally love it! I purchased the OEM wind deflector. Once installed, is it easy to remove if I needed to use the back seat or is it not meant to be attached/reattached/attached etc.

Thanks!

Someone will pop in here who has actual experience but from what I've seen on youtube etc, it auto folds out of the way if you put the top up. I understand it will (barely) fit in the frunk if you want to take it off while going top-down

You can leave it in and it folds up automatically.......no need to remove every time.....have not removed mine for over 20 years......works fine....

It is very easily removed if you need to put someone in the back seat.

Agreed on all of the above. If your zipper isn't too sticky / tough to unzip, the rest is easy. If it is tough, some pencil graphite running over it would do the trick.

The comment above by Entendu is correct though - if you're out and about and then need to remove it with top down, there is no space to really store it other than the back seat next to the passenger. If the top is up, it disappears entirely out of the way.

I have no issue getting the deflector into its bag and then putting it in the frunk diagonally. Believe there are velcro pieces on the carpet and the storage bag that guide where to place it. I'll take pics when I get back into town Friday.
