Regular service intervals?
What are the regular major service intervals for a C4S?
And what are the main factors that get looked at as well as ballpark costs for these intervals?
I am looking at a car approaching 30K miles so that is the interval I am most concerned with at the moment.
Sorry for the newbie questions but I am at a loss for sources right now! <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Also, make sure the 4 year airbag check was completed by a dealer - should be a stamp in the maintenance log with the car.

Brad, for estimating the cost of the 30K service you could just call a dealer or some local shops, but don't be surprised if it is between $700-1,200 depending on the amount of work done. For negotiating the price of a used car I'd assume ~$1,000. Good luck.

And if you can get it down $1k because the 30k service will be coming up soon, might as well try to get it down another $1k for the 45k service. In short, the current owner should not be held financially responsible for a service that's due in the future.

Jim, I disagree with you. There are plenty of cars out there that are posted for sale having recently had a major service. Why would you pay the same for a car with 30K miles that had the service, as one that hadn't had it? You are going to be out of pocket $1K soon for one car, and not the other.
If someone is selling a car that needs a major service shortly (emphasis on the word "shortly") then they should expect to receive less for it than one that doesn't need the service.
In my experience that is fair game.
