Shifter “pops” out of gear
My 70k mile 1995 993 6speed with goldenrod will easily slip out if at least 1st and 3rd gears if I accidentally slightly move the shifter before complete depressing the clutch. It’s more unnerving than anything. Is this a symptom of a misalignment of some sort?
When I got the car it needed new shifter bushings and I ended up putting OEM motor mounts as I could not always get into gears. I added a Goldenrod as well given recommendations here. Now it is a little knotchy but completely usable but I can’t shift as fast as I always want (almost like double clutching timing) but I just presume that’s the way these are (?). My former 968 was much smoother.

If it's slipping out of gear, it's misaligned. Since 1st and 3rd are forward gears in the shift pattern, try lengthening the shift rod.
Also, as good as the transmission is in these cars, speed shifting is not advised.

Thanks - will attempt to lengthen.
Good to know that these are not speed-shifting transmissions. I was able to row the 968 much easier, but I'm adjusting to the 993 pretty well.
