Post Remove headlight washer nozzles?

I'm polishing/buffing out the swirls in my paint, and would like to be able to remove the headlight washer nozzles. Did an archive search (AND read the factory service manual), but didn't find an explanation on whether to pull, twist, slide, push, etc. Don't want to snap something experimenting if I can help it.

Anyone have the trick?

thanks,

RNH

Got it.

Grab the whole nozzle housing, and rotate 90 degrees clockwise. This aligns the catch mechanism of the houseing with a slot in the hole at six o'clock. You can then lift the assembly up and out. Like someone else mentioned in an earlier thread, I'm not going to unplug the nozzle & push the hose back in and out of the way. I'd probably have to pull the entire bumper cover off to get the hose back.

I wrestled a bit with the passenger side nozzle, and -- sure enough - snapped off the catch. I can't imagine these plastic nozzles are too expensive, though...

They're $189 a pair...

Just kidding!

My parts list says $19.90 (one).

Robert, one of the clips on one of my nozzles is broken off and to be honest I have not worried about it. I have to turn it around 90 degrees to get it to seat in the hole. What I really want to do is remove both of them but no one knows of a plug for the hole.

Hey, yes, E.J. - do you think you can get your car into the body shop by, say, Wednesday?
