Tiptronic?? Who has it? Might need to get it.

I had tiptronic on my '94 Speedster and had no problems. It was great in traffic and was still fun to drive. Stick with the automatic so both you and your finance can enjoy it. I would go with the tip-911 over the SMG-M3.
I do have to say, however, that I am now driving a six-speed and love it.

Re: tiptronic: Downshift and general control of the vehicle is sluggish. Most I know that track the p-car won't use a tip on circuits because of the shift float and delay. If you are going to do any upgrades, beware as the tip will not take many of the standard trans items and you will have to pay a premium for steering wheel, shift ***** and even some of the engine mods including some exhaust items that are special parts for the tip with higher price tags to accompany the wait for parts to be ordered. The biggest plus for the tip is driving in heavy or commuter traffic. Saves clutch, drivetrain, and frustration. <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
