When comparing the two, wide body vs. narrow. There are two real cool differences. To my taste, the turbo front spoiler looks fantastic, while the narrow body front spoiler looks OK.
From the rear, that is a really wide *** on the wide body, vs. a pretty wide *** on the narrow.
It all depends on your liking...I really like the turbo/c4s/c2s styling better. But again, there are others that like the more functional, less exaggerated lines of the standard 993.
Even without the extra rear fender width, the front spoiler on the wide body is much nicer IMO.

I noticed Larry mentioned the rocker panels. This is a big deal because the outside front of the rear wheel wells get fewer rocks hitting it (and thus rock chips) on the wide body because of the flared rocker panels on the wide body. On the narrow body (I owned a 95C4)the rocker panels behind the front tires are not flared out so rocks fly up easier toward the rear wheel wells.

So when my car was "bumped" while in a car park I replaced the front bumper lining with the wide body front spoiler. I really like the resulting look of the car.

So is that the same as the turbo front bumper cover? I am not sure of your term lining. Also, do you have any pictures and was there any fitment problems?
Thanx,

The Porsche dealership fit an original factory C4S bumper cover/lining and it is a perfect fit. They had a couple of original factory parts hanging around as quite a few cars here are retro-fitted with GT2 aero packages. All that was required was for them to match my Zenith blue C4.
The one worry I had was that the flaring front spoiler would not look "right" at the wheel well with the non-flared fender behind. I kept the old parts to convert back if it was really off, but even in 3/4 view from the rear the lines are OK by me.
I shot a quick digital picture of the car just now, but it is the one day of the year that we have cloud cover so it's not very bright.
Regards, Nol
Well, if I've done it right here's two pictures of my 1995 Zenith Blue 993 C4 Coupe.

E.J.,
How much does a new turbo front clip run? Robin's car looks very nice with the changes. Who do you like locally (DC/MD/VA)to do paintwork. I'm in Baltimore and I only know of Coachworks here.
Btw, did you see the 600hp GT2 replica on Ebay that is here in Washington/Baltimore? Apparently, the owner and his brother are active in (DC/MD)PCA track events. Car looks nice in the pics.

Sam, I just moved back to the NVA area about 6 weeks ago so I am not the person to ask about bodyshops. I know where I would take it in Charlotte though? What I do in a strange place is call the pcar dealers and see what body shop they use and you should see a trend of one or two mentioned a couple of times.
I am not even sure how much a new bumper cover costs, but Gert can get them. Gert I know my rear cover cost about $1300 6 months ago - not sure if that has any signifigance.
For a local shop I would ask on the potomacpca.com web board. There seems to be a lot of locals on that board, but I registered a week ago and still have not gotten my passowrd to post yet.
I would like to see that car, what is the ebay link?
Cheers,

Holy Crap Sam, I saw this car on the lift about 1 month ago.
It is at the same shop that had 2 964 cup cars for sale. I thought it looked familiar. From the lift it looked very clean and like a good fit was had by all parts. I obviously cant comment more than looks though. The mechanic said the person does DEs and wanted a turbo but did not want all wheel drive. So they took a 993 body and used the running gear of a 964 turbo. It is a great looking car with many racing features on the interior.
Let me know if you want more info (not sure what else to say though). I could tell you the shop.

E.J.,
Thanks for the info.
I believe its at Zuffinghausen (sp?). I am curious to know how they are getting 600+hp at the crank. I wonder if this car is a timebomb waiting to throw a rod and all its internals the next time you stomp on it? There is always a price to pay when you go for maximum anything. I would like to see the car in person.

Looks exactly like my car. Same front nose and rear wing minus the extension.
EJ,
Bring you digital camera to VIR if you think about it.
Thanks
