Default Canepa 993 “4.0L RSR”

This was my favorite car at Rennsport. Some questions in case anybody has insider knowledge:
  • is this a real RSR?
  • is it intended to be streetable?
  • did anybody get a good picture of the tachometer (I’m curious what the redline is)?

not a real RSR, but the intake and catch can and blt drive looks to be oe 964 3.8RS or possibly 964/993 RSR, most likely tuned for street use( no roll bar or cage) still has cam driven p/s pump but no A/C

That belt tensioner looks pretty dang close to the Clewett setup.

Bill - do you know specifically how that catch can is plumbed to the oil tank and air intake? Also, do you know where that cloth-covered line from the catch can goes?

Clewett copied the RSR setup

Unfortunately not, there are a a number of areas that are not well documented in the manuals , catch can is one

That shown tubes you call a roll bar

to be specific, as shown in the certificate its named Einschweisskaefig, means welded cage.
Everything ells would be called 'Ueberrollbuegel', which means (see above) ... roll bar

There's a roll bar in the car. Didn't think I had to spell it out for you people, but that was my point.

Wow. To be pedantic, you confused a cage with a roll bar. (Go back and read your other posts in this thread). Bill simply provided factory information to clarify and assist.

I didn't think I had to spell that out for you but here we are.

You're welcome.
