Yes he does! Be reminded Bruce Canepa bought almost all the 993 Motorsport parts in early 2000 when the 993 platform switched to 996, a 993 RSR or 993 Cup is an easy build for him. Now days if you need an RSR ribbed fan belt you have to buy it from him with a premium.

Don't worry , he's only winding you up. Of coarse it's a cage as it's all encompassing, its just a bit half way / for show. People like Safety Devices sell plenty of classic cages without door bars or front cross bars and you can get Technical Certificates from the MSA. It's just that these things are fitted to "help" but really don't do very much for overall stiffness or safety ...... I'm kind of surprised there's no obvious facility for adding removable door bars which would be a vast improvement.

And even German firms like Heigo sell half way cages without door bars...

It is possible that they cut up a Cup/RSR cage, the angles on the various pieces do look correct , if so they alo repositioned the knee bar further forward so that it is hidden behind the lower dash street trim
Does it have center locks and a fuel cell?
This is a stock gen1 RSR

of course not for race cars.
any type of removable bolt in systems would not pass scrutineering.
These are still for more hobby racer track cars, slalom, local autocross etc ...

Saw them prepping the car the day before RR7.
We were asked not to ask the techs any questions, so I have no further information.

It seems that car caught a lot of our attention. Sorry I didn't meet up with anyone from here.
Not sure if this helps but from a factory RSR 3.8
Best I have on the tach

Yes, it’s a real RSR
The seats have also been slightly modified by making them a little bit wider.
I didn’t take any interior photos and did not note the red line.
Per someone else’s question, the color is Continental Orange.

I have this tribute RSR ground up build incoming this week.
Modified 3.8 with EFI.
I will drive it on the street (titled as 1969 911 with vin #)
Its a pretty "hardcore" build though.
