I have a 94 Triptronic 993. I have started to notice that when the gears change from 3rd to 4th I get a heavy shudder like it is struggling to go in. It doesnt do it if i drive the car fairly hard. Has anyone had any problems like this or know what it could be.

When is the last time you check or replaced your trans fluid? From what I know the tiptronic transmission is very sensitive to fluid level. You might want to check the fluid level first, please consult your owner's manual to check the fluid level, from what I know with other automatic transmission cars you will need to have the engine running in order to properly check the fluid level.
