Alarm false triggers increasing in frequency
 

A few times over the last few weeks my 993 alarm has been false triggered.
there doesn’t seem to be an apparent reason. Happened in the garage and in the driveway.
There was even a note on the car when I picked It up from service on the window “false car alarm”.

any thoughts?

1: Take the bulbs out of the dome lights, glove box, and frunk light and clean their connections with a little spray electrical cleaner. Replace the bulbs or clean the bulb contacts.
Use care to not accidentally short out the frunk light fixture to the lid sheet metal when removing it or lock the frunk latch with a screwdriver before removing it. Be sure to unlock the latch before closing the lid when you are done.
If this doesn't clear the issue:
2: Clean the switches for the dome lights/glove box, door jamb, and frunk latch.
If this doesn't clear the issue:
Pull the alarm module from under the seat and clean it's connector.

The alarm control module stores the trigger reason. So just interrogate the unit with a Bosch hammer or the like.

Use a Porsche-compatible OBD diagnostic tool to read out the reasons for the alarms.
I would guess you have an aftermarket radio installed, and the alarm wire that was connected to the old radio frame has not been properly isolated. Search for "green wire" here on the forum.
