Unpopular Opinions: 993 Edition
 

We all have our inclinations and subtleties, what are some burning "unpopular" opinions you'd like to get off your chest? I'll start with five to get the controversy started :to_order:

1.) Adding a Split Grill to any car other than a C2S is NOT cool
2.) 993 Twists belong on 993s, 996 Twists belong on 996s...
3.) 993 Hardback Seats >>> 996 Ribbed, higher sitting Hardback Seats
4.) RWB ruins 993s
5.) If you're selling a 993 and it "flies off the shelf" with a buyer, it probably means you underpriced it and left money on the table

993 should have a 4 spoke or RS steering wheel only. A 996 3 Spoke wheel should stay in a 996 or Boxster.

Stock corners > clear corners.

993 is not a good platform for restomod - they all end up looking like something from Cars the movie.

The ‘95 993 is better because of OBDI (no SAI code).

What I hear “I need to justify why I have a lower powered 993.”

But the basket handle is worth at least +10hp

sportamatic is as good as a 6 speed

I like the look of the basket handle

+1 for the basket handle.

Like the 2 panel rear S spoiler, the basket handle is a 95 thang.

People who tell other people what they should or should not do to their car

Unpopular opinion: As a wide body 993 owner, I prefer the lines of the narrow body.

- M002 aerokit ruins the perfect lines of the car
- M003 aerokit even worse than above
- Big reds are overrated, but painting standard calipers in red adding a bigger porsche stitching rocks
- the louder, the better, especially for those who are happily (?!) driving a Prius during the week
- G50.21 I am confident it would make me 10 seconds faster in a laptime of 25 seconds.
- I would like to have had the sunroof delete option in the U.S. just to order it with the sunroof...or for cutting the rood and installing it.

I think it is better stop, the virus helps going hyperironic :grouphug: I dont like this emoticon that's why I use it :)

95 softback sports seats are better than the hardbacks.
