Easier than black. Harder than silver.

Arrwin,

Here are my pics.

I do believe that Arena Red is the best color in the 993. Don't dismiss a tan interior. Look at one in person...talk about classic colors.

Good luck!

When I was looking I dismissed cashmere. and I found a few
arena reds with cashmere, and I passed as it turned out
I got midnite blue with cashmere and I love the interior.
so have a look at it. had I went with cashmere
I would have a arena red TT with cash interior. I am
not sorry though. people walk up to
me all the time and ask me about that color. Arena red is
stunning however.

To me, Arena Red is like the color of a fine merlot red. Have had mine for seven years and have never tired of the color. Mine also has Cashmere interior, which I think is an excellent combo.

Here's one you can imagine washing your new baby.... mine has 130,000 kms, the color is still near perfect. Of course, you would have to go through respraying the front bumper with high mileage, but the bodyshop i used did a great job in matching.

My only opinion about the arena red, it feels that the stock 18" turbo wheels look the best on them, the aftermarket wheels just don't look as fit in as in silver or other color cars....

Make sure you use a lint free cloth when drying!

If anyone's interested, I have a 37k mile supple cashmere cabriolet interior (1995) that I'll be selling shortly (shameless fortuitous plug).

I had an Arena red with cashmere and loved it, classy and complimented the fine lines of a 993. Then I crashed it in 4 months, bought another--- iris blue metallic with marble gray. EVERYONE says they love this color better than the red. The changes of the color in various lighting conditions is indescribale. There is another thread recently that discussed this color. If you can, see them both in person before you go on the hunt. Bottom line you can't go wrong with either color, but make sure you don't regret not checking out any possible choices first. Good luck

See, us Arena Red guys are a small but vocal bunch that post pics at the drop of a hat. Make sure you're OK with that before you get one.

It's a good color if you're indecisive, notice how different it looks in these 3 shots with slight lighting changes.

PeterS, What suspension setup did you go with? Or should I guess... PSS9?
Nice avatar! Is that coming down the cork screw at Laguna Seca?

Wow....PeterS, you're right. They look like 3 different cars. The first shot looks violet, then cranberry, then purple. Depending on which angle and light you stare at it, you can convince yourself that you have 3 different cars. Hope you don't mind, but I actually used one of your pics as my wallpaper at work. Purrty.

How cool would it be to get a posse of Arena Red 993s at a meet/run?!

Thanks again....

Beto, I have seen some Iris Blue 993s on this site and they are stunning as well. Uncommon as Arena Red, probably even more so. I would love to see an Iris in person, but with what appears to be a limited abundance of 993s in the NYC area it will be hard to come by. But then again....if anyone is planning a trip to the Big Apple.....
