My strong advice: no way. Many of those additives contain Teflon which is debatable whether it's any good for your engine. In fact it may even harm your engine. Do yourself a favor and and just keep it simple. Use a good quality synthetic oil such as Mobil 1 in your engine and transmission, and change them at regular intervals.

hn,

Every legitimate source I've encountered suggests that Prolong is absolute rubbish, e.g. the Teflon can not bind as suggested at typical engine temps.

It is unlikely to help, although I'm not sure if it will hurt your engine.

My advice: throw it away, and chalk the original purchase up to experience - kind of like all the car waxes in my closest that have been used maybe once before I tried something else.

I agree with the above posts... The engineers at Porsche AG designed the engine to use only gasoline and oil. I trust their judgement and feel that a well maintained engine would not need additives. Just MHO....

I read somewhere that the Teflon particles can actually be trapped in your oil filter and cause it to clog prematurely or worse your hydrolic lifter... bad stuff.

Well, there goes my christmas gift pack. Whoever got me that could have gotten me a bumper plugs.

I guess the advices apply to fuel injector cleaners, too.

Thx, everyone
