Importing 911 from Europe
What do I need to do if I want to import a 911 from Europe? I have a friend who works at Porsche in Germany (quality manager, takes claims from customers etc. also, part of the job is that he 'needs' to drive less than a six months old Porsche every day, what a job?!) and he could find me a nice 993 but I's like to know is it difficult or& expensive to import that vechile here (Miami)?

I guess the hardest part (or easy for your friend as he's in the factory) is getting US spec Emission changes and other things such as lights, etc altered.
Then you've got the paperwork, I assume there are some web sites with details on importing, just like when we import from germany into the UK.

Check out http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/import/ and decide if you even can much less want to do this.

Thanks guys!
I checked the link and there is all the information needed (which is too much...).
I think I'm gonna call one of those agencies and ask how much they want for it.
Finding a car should be ok (through that friend of mine) but importing might be too much.
