Did you ever try it? I've got one waiting to be fitted, interested if you have feedback. Good luck with the sale.

If I did, I don't think I could claim it as new.
I did however, include a link in the FS posting of others that have tried it and loved it!

I have one installed in my C4S. It seems to be a quality piece of kit, but I can't say I notice a huge difference in clutch uptake or effort. I've had it two years and no complaints

I've gone one. It's awesome. Use with GT3RS 4.0 clutch and LWFW. Clutch feel is MONEY.

What do you do for the boot on these? I was considering one but the idea of using the 30 year old original boot didn’t appeal. Surely there is a better solution?

I've bought the cheaper slave off Pelican PN: 950-116-237-12-M33 to provide what's needed for the MPL.

My car has the original master & Slave, it had an odd notch like feel at the very end of the peddle trave to the floor. Refreshed the fluid and now it is smooth. The hydraulic mechanism is so simple I would think is working or one of the components are leaking or has air in it, but that's about all there is to it. Anything other would have to do with the peddle cluster mechanics or inside the bell housing.

Good to hear your peddle action improved. On my previous 993 the petal “gawking” sound would not go away even after full flush.

Sometimes (actually often) the grease at the end of the slave cylinder pin that pushes in the cup on the clutch fork dries up, and that can lead to a squeak or "gawking" sound. You can pull the slave and lubricate that fairly easily, much easier with a lift, I also have seen worn throwout bearing guide tubes, sometimes they get ridges and the throwout bearing will hang on the ridge a bit, or make noise. That can only be fixed by dropping the transmission.

The only real downside of the MPL is its has a larger diameter barrel as compared to the stock slave, so it does make the pedal lighter (about 30% I seem to remember ... I have the math somewhere since I measure it all out once), but for a given stroke of the pedal, the pin that pushes the clutch fork moves proportionally less... so it lowers the clutch engagement point. If that point is close to the floor, it will be even closer. I had once case with a new competition PP and GT3 disk, that it put the engagement point on the floor, which means you could not get enough pedal travel to open the clutch. That was an extreme case though.

In the vast majority of cases, it seems to work great.

Cheers,

Mike
