Planet Seat Belt
Hi, I recently ordered red seat belts from Planet Seat Belt. Very happy with end result. However I originally ordered their complete replacement front sets. I assumed that if they were for the car that the provided receiver would have a wire for the seat belt warning light or at least that the tongue on the set they provided would plug into my seat belt receiver. Neither were true. Generic cheap looking receiver they provided had no plug or wire and tongue on their belts didn't fit my receiver. Also, their belt cassettes don't appear as robust as the OEM units. I emailed Planet Seat Belt and they responded promptly. They said I could ground the wires for the warning light or they could reweb my exisitng hardware for same price or I could return belts for full credit.
While grounding my belt receiver wires wouldn't be difficult, I'd prefer not to finagle crap on this car if I don't have to. So I had them reweb my existing belts. They look great and they kindly returned the original black German nylon webbing from the fatherland. Their cost for new front belts or re webbing for front belts is about $300. |
OEM belts also can be purchased from Gert @carnwal

i just installed a set (front and rear) that were done by Safety Restore in Mass . They simply put in new webbing using your existing hardware. Posted a pic on "what did you do to your 993 today".
