New 993 Owner
Hello all. New 993 C2 owner here.
The car is a 1995 Polar Silver, manual Coupe with 97,000 mi on it purchased from another rennlister.
I haven’t had a ton of time to drive the car yet, but from what little time I’ve been able to spend with it, it’s a driving experience that’s amazing and a little difficult to describe. Connected is the word that comes to mind but of course better reviewers than I have come up with more eloquent descriptions. Maybe “bad ***” is another good word?
Anyway, I am a long-time BMW guy but this is the second 911 I have owned, the first one being a 997.2 Coupe.
Looking forward to watching this forum and learning more from those of you who are experts in all things 993.

The H&R/Bilstein set up has been the go-to for my e30’s and the 2002 but it looks like Koni’s and/or PSS10 coil overs are preferred for the 993, at least from what I have seen on the forums. I have never run coil overs before and am a little leery so I need to find some more time to research before putting money into a solution.
In the meantime, I will have to live with what handles like a mid-90’s Lincoln Towncar and looks like a 4WD lol (ok, that’s a bit of an overstatement and I’m kidding, of course).
Regardless, though, the presence of the car is stunning.

congrats and welcome
as others have said you should get the suspension dropped - h&r springs and bilstein hd's are the go-to spec for sporty street driving - some will say pss9/10 or kw v3 that is overkill unless you are a tinkerer and like to adjust endlessly - then get a real good shop who does these cars to do a good alignment
the other member with pics of his 993 shows the 996 lightweight 18 in wheels - that is the best porsche oem wheel for the nb 993 car, strong light and available at a reasonable price - mine is below on same wheels
have fun

The BMW is a 1970 2002 restored by The Werk Shop. Below are some pics. I have some BBS RS’s coming for the car. The wheels, while correct for the car, just aren’t doing it for me.
*** Please pardon the non-993 pics. Have had a couple of questions about the 2002, so I put them up. If they’re not allowed, please delete ***
