Beautiful summer day in Washington state

Love the 997 wheels

Hello and a bit of an intro. I have a 95 C2 with 60K on the odometer with factory the M030 suspension, full leather interior, manual gearbox. Only mod are the wheels from the 997.

While replacing the front rotors and pads, I noticed that the boots for the front drop links are torn and either need to be replaced or perhaps re-greased and new boots put on.

Wanted to ask the community - if I replace them, should I go stock Porsche, Tarett or Elephant Racing? Looks like the aftermarket designs are adjustable (I think all I would do is to get ROW M030 springs) and maybe repairable at the joint (especially the Tarett design).

What would you do?

It largely depends on the condition of the heim joints in your existing drop links... if they are thrashed from dirt and debris, I would toss and replace them.

Polyboots.com for replacement dust boots...

Will you be replacing the suspension? This is advisable if the car is still still riding on the OEM Monroe suspenders.

The suspension is very firm and tight so I think I’ll stay with it. Really just the drop links and maybe ROW 030 springs.

New booties and you're done! Since you need not remove any joints that disturb your alignment it is an easy DIY job.

I just refreshed my suspension and in the process I replaced those boots. I went to http://balljointboots.co.uk and ordered "Boot 1" about $10-$12. These were very close to what was needed. I did order a set from polyboots. The ones I ordered were the closest size they had but just a little too big for the application. The one from balljointboots was a better fit. Right or wrong I put a healthy dose of Superlube on each joint before I closed it up. If this repair doesn't work, I'm not out a great deal of money.
