Looking for a shifter that will shorten throws and tighten shift feel while hopefully using my stock shift **** and boot. Rothsport doesn’t appear to retain the factory look. Any recommendations?

+2... I installed the FD Motorsport SSK along with the Golden Rod, which maintains the stock shift **** and boot. Great upgrade!

Ok so FD does make the golden rod

Golden Rod is a separate part from the SSK - it’s part of the shift linkage (forward rod).

The SSK is, I believe a Rothsport part (someone correct me if I’m wrong, but it doesn’t use the billet shift **** like the other Rothsport short shift kit that you’re referring to.

^^ no visual difference between stock and FD’s SSK.

Just added FD SSK and Golden Rod to my C4S. Uses original shift boot. No change in look. Good upgrade esp. improved feeling of precision. Not super short throws however. But I really like it a lot.

Fitted one recently. Really like, GR and SSK work well together, it is a very noticeable mod.

I also installed FDMotorsports short shift kit and golden rod. Very nice upgrade! Call and talk to Darrin and he will answer any questions you have but their website has photos and schematics of the install.
I later added a function first shift **** using my original boot.
