Selling my '96 993 Carrera, 43kmi
In case you guys know any interested parties! Thanks!
Selling my ‘96 993 Carrera with 43k mi on it. Guards red/ Cashmere. Motorsound. Car is in great condition. I’ve owned since 2016 and put around 4K mi on since. Purchased from Holt Motorsports. I have all records since 2008. Clean Carfax. I’m the 3rd owner.
-New clutch at 39k mi.
-Major service less then a year ago - oil, caps, rotors, plugs, belts, alternator belt sensor, fuel, air and cabin filters. Cleaned ISV and MAF.
Left driver side rear fender was been painted prior to my ownership but no accident damage that I’m aware of. Otherwise, the car is original paint.
Since I’ve owned the cars I’ve done the following upgrades:
Interior:
OEM Softback Sport Seats redone by Waldemar
Custom 996 3-Spoke Steering Wheel, thumb rests removed and wheel thickened by CarDreams
Audio - Alpine CDE-HD149BT, Morel Virtus 602s, Genesis Profile Two Ultra Amp
Suspension:
KW V3's w/ custom spring rates, settings, alignment and corner balance by Joey Seely @ Emotion Engineering
ERP camber plates
ERP tie-rods w/ bump steer correction and solid RSR inners
Tarret drop links
ERP toe links
Transmission:
FD Short Shift Kit
FD Goldenrod
Engine:
Rennsport ECU Flash (’97 ECU)
C4 engine mounts
Exterior:
PPF – full bumper, full hood, winglets, inner fenders (front & rear)
Bergvill HIDs
Turbs S Ducts painted in GT Silver w/ LED bulbs (have original fogs w/ PPF)
Amber Tails (have original Red tails)
Fikse FM/10's w/ MPSSs (2k mi on the tires).
Issues:
-some minor sweating at timing chainbox covers.
-only thing i haven't done is pads and rotors so i'm sure they'll need replacing over the next 10k mi or so (just a guess).
Otherwise, the car is fully sorted.
Asking $73,993. Thanks guys!

A gorgeous car and a great color combo. Love the GR and cashmere. Good luck with the sale. Worth every penny.

Still last and best! 964 is truer to its roots however and many value that.

I sent this amazing car to a friend and he’s dead set to pay up for a 964 that will still need sorting. All that classic 911 look, feel and aura. I told him he was stupid.

Funny. As most of you probably know, I just purchased a 993. During my search, I discovered the entire "singer phenom" and briefly contemplated going the 964 route. I drove three different 964's, two that were for sale and one that was owned by the friend of a friend. I can tell you that to my butt the 993 is a MUCH better drive. Now I'm sure the singers are different animals, but the pedestrian 964 feels VERY old. More raw...., yes, but the gearbox and handling seems archaic compared to the 993.
My 993 seems like a good starting place. I'm probably keeping mine mostly stock, but a more aggressive exhaust and sport suspension is def in the cards. This season though I'm just content to try to get it sorted cosmetically and drive it a bit.
