Help installing FD Motorsport Transmission Bushing on C2
Has anybody installed the new FD Motorsport Transmission bushing? I've looked at the video for the install on the C4S to get an idea but I know they are different. If you have done this upgrade, please school me on the best way to complete the project so I'm not going in blind. If another Rennlister is local to the MD/VA/DC area and is interested in putting together a DIY on this project, let's get together. I have access to a lift at the Fort Meade Auto Skills Center.
Thanks,
Magic

Paulkromz,
Thanks for providing a link! When I talked to Darin a few weeks back he said he didn't have DIY for the 2WD cars yet. I'll try the instructions. Hum--are the pictures in the link for 2WD or 4WD cars?
Thanks,
Magic

ignore any pics or instructions regarding 4wd cars, completely different transmission mount.
my guess is there are no instructions because the two halves are placed or pressed in place and that's it.
the big effort will be pressing out the old mount.
looks like chaoscreature's invention so read this thread

I would ignore that link as another poster mentioned that is directions for the 4S and TT AWD trans converting to 2WD trans mount without the torque tube
( which originally provides the rear support mount ) I imagine the Fister 2WD mount can be installed with trans in car but it certainly will not be easy some kind of puller or press would need to be arranged to remove the original mount and then press the new one in.It is much easier when not in the car to remove rear section of trans put on a press and remove and replace the original withe the new pieces. YMMV Bert
