Why would you need new front and rear window seals?

I cut the window seals to remove the front and rear windshields. You’ll want the glass out for a proper repainting of the roof. The glass should remain intact, but you’ll need new seals to replace them.

Which results in people making sure to get the sunroof. Increasing the rarity of sunroofless 911s. And evidently increasing their value in the long run.
Pretty ridiculous. That said, my car has a sunroof and I've never opened it. I'd just as soon not have it. Just another thing to break and leak.

When I had the race car, I preferred a non sunroof 993; I could've used the extra headroom. With my pure street car, I actually use my sunroof on a regular basis and like it very much. No headroom issues for me since I no longer wear a helmet in the car. If it didn't have a sunroof, I'd be fine, though.

In Italy the 993 was imported by Porsche Italia without the sunroof, which means, if you wanted, it was option.
I really never understood why so many 993 has been ordered with sunroof...ok, it was a time when Porsche wanted to show Mercedes to be able not only making usable but also very comfortable sport cars.
Maybe it has a sense jumping back in the past...but if I stop considering how a 993 should be, it must be definitely without sunroof, definitely with M030 suspensions and X51 kit (plus code 220).
I was looking for one without...if I wanted a sunroof, I would have had a look around for a Targa, one of the most beautiful 911 ever made.

As with practically everything in this car, it's pretty awesome. Huge greenhouse, big windshield and open air - first time I've ever liked a sunroof.
