Default fikse barrel replacement

Hi Guys
The barrel cracked on one of my Fikse FM-10 wheels
Do you think i order a new replacement?
What is the best way to confirm the size of the barrel, it does not seemed to be stamped anywhere
Thanks

There should be a serial number etched into the wheel, IIRC. A call to Fikse should help as well.

The original Fikse had a bad run of barrels from their supplier and replaced two of mine at no charge. However, that was back in 2007 or so, and I was the original owner of my FM-10s. Doubt they'd extend a warranty this far out and after new ownership but thought you should know.

I've got a set of FM10s, had a bent inner and decided to check the rest. Found 5 halves with unacceptable run out. Mine must have come from this same batch.

The cost to replace all the barrels is just high to make any sense at this point. A shame as they're nice wheels otherwise.

Talking I know just the place, and....

Have used them to rebuild my former Fikse wheels: I sent them in in 2 sets, fronts then rears. On the set they replaced a front inner and a rear outer. Had all 4 wheels disassembled, cleaned up, resealed and torqued to factory spec. The work was beautiful......it cost about ???? Don't recall, wasn't cheap, but then again, what is except Taco Bell...and that food sucks, if you can call it food.

Dave is a class act. He has done several projects for me...I know you want to know...so I am driving along in my Cayenne, hit an object in the road and bent a wheel. Auto Club came out and changed the tire to a temporary spare...had a 300 mile trip I was in the middle of. Just as a long shot, called Dave Martin...he said come on in, he'd help me. Drove the 40 or so miles to his shop on the temporary spare. While I waited, he hooked me up with a used wheel at a fair price and loaned me a tire in great shape. When I got back home, I sent the tire back to him, and bought a tire matching the the existing set. Incredible service and fair pricing.

^^^Great customer service, but not the cheapest game in town. They called me right back, and took care of my wheel/tire mount n balance needs, where Wheel Dynamics ignored my 3 ph calls.

Wheel Enhancement gets my business, where wheel dynamics, I dont even bother calling...
