Corrosion in trunk - when to worry?
Hi
I am planning buying my first Porsche. I've looked at a '98 Carrera 4S. The car seems overall in very good condition. Only 57 000 km of mileage, which also can be validated from the service history. One thing that got me slightly worries was rust along the welds in the trunk. I cannot make a judgement if this is serious or "normal" - given the otherwise very good condition of the car. Thankful for any advice. See photos for details.
Sorry for the perhaps elementary question - I am new here .

Hard to tell from the photos especially the vertical area behind the harness bundle. I know my front tub has lots of rust colored seam sealer applied that always makes me do a double take.

Thank you for the responses.
Yes, correct
and
That sounds logical since the brown rust color is only on the welds.
Are you talking about this area?

That's not corrosion. That's seam sealer. It prevents corrosion. Look at it closely, you can see the brush marks from when it was applied at the factory.
