Anything is possible at a price but you would have to question why. It would be cheaper and more sensible to swap the 993 for a turbo.

Technically relatively simple in concept anyway, I almost did it in my 993.
  • The water cooled GT3 engine uses the same basic crankcase as the air-cooled 993, so the engine to gearbox mounting is the same and a bolt up using the GT3 clutch, flywheel parts.
  • The oil tank has to be routed to the 993 position at the side of the car or the GT3 crankcase needs some work to adapt the 993 oil filter and eliminate the oil filter/ heat exchanger at top of GT3 engine (not necessary but cleans up top of engine and removes weight there)
  • A water radiator has to be fabricated and installed with ducting at the front of the car with water lines going down the center tunnel.
  • A rear engine mount bracket has to be fabricated.
  • Power steering lines have to be fabricated or power steering eliminated; same goes for A/C hardware.
  • The electronics and the fly-by wire throttle of the GT3 that has to be adapted.
A lot of work but doable.
