Introducing labor of love. Glacier C2 with a twist...
Hi all, Introducing '97 Glacier White with Midnight Blue leather picked up here from fellow Rennlister about 6 mo ago. 88K miles, she was in fantastic condition to start with so many great updates and all the correct service and preventative stuff done. Front leather was replaced in an unbelievable identical way by the p.o who also added Porsche Classic radio (do it) and Fabspeed cats, and OEM midnight blue arm rests.
So, I built upon that and had always loved the RS look so did a cosmetic tribute with the full OEM RS M002 kit and Speedlines from Gert. Had a professional bumperette delete and front clip painted along with the RS aero parts. I've kept all original parts too in case I ever go back-Ha! I'm keeping the 17 Cup wheels she came with but the 9/10 18 Turbo twists (solid) will be posted soon.
I replaced all suspension including Walrods from Andreas, Elephant sport bushings everywhere else and KWV3's. Corner balanced, paint correction, PPF on entire front & hood. Drives and handles impeccably now. Love it.
Upcoming; fix footwell blower heat flap and drive it!
Love this forum and community! I'm generally a lurker only so hopefully some of these pics pass on the inspiration I have been fortunate to enjoy.
Cheers, Mark

Very happy that this plate was available.
One box, 3 days from Gert! the fun starts
Felt like these were full of $$$ bills. No, just OEM Speedlines...
RS skirts are pia to fit. Used a mastic type Sikaflex for added security and painted them matt/almost satin black- didn't want to leave bare as paint was already lifting on one out the box. they look great. Stealthy.
Front clip back from bumperette delete and paint. Local shop who does all of Sunset Porsche's work. Great result.
Andreas to the rescue with new Walrod front bushings. Sir, you were a pleasure to deal with!
All rear arms out and replaced with Elephant sport bushings.
KWV3's purely due to availability and mates rates pricing I had KW Clubsport's on my M3 track car for years before i went MCS and loved them. Car handles fantastically now, really crisp turn in. Set car to RS+10mm. Will adjust the rear height again now it has settled with 1000 miles added. Cleaned up 21 years of road crap off wheel wells.
I think I like it.
Too many wheels in my garage at them moment. These will be on Rennlist soon (18 solid spoke).
Better than show room new interior.

Beautiful! I might be interested in the twists if they are in really nice shape and priced fairly!

Mark,
It's nice to see where that set of arms ended up. The car looks gorgeous!
As for the RS side skirts - I thought those parts were black plastic? You mentioned paint lifting.

Thank you Andreas! The RS skirts are an opaque cream plastic painted very thinly with a matt- almost satin black finish. It lifted just with removing some painters tape once I'd put them on... Decide to SEM prep them, paint and sealed with Aerospace protectant. So far they're holding well. Cheers.

Had them cleaned and checked for no dents and to confirm no repairs when i took the old tires off. They've been repainted at some point in their past but still 8.5/9 out of 10. PM me with a cell or e-mail and i'll send you pics. I'm thinking $800 inc shipping in CONUS?
Cheers,
