For those 993 owners/enthusiasts in the Washington,
DC region, could you please recommend a mechanic who you’d trust to repair you 993? I live in Montgomery County and would prefer a shop near Bethesda, Rockville, or Silver Spring or even Northerm VA (Tyson’s area), as a last resort.

Taylor Chapman is the go-to guy for many 993 owners in the DC area. He’s out by Dulles airport. No one comes to mind in MoCo though. In Tyson’s/McLean area there’s Intersport. They sell and service air cooled Porsche. I’ve never had work done there but haven’t heard of anything bad. Going north near Baltimore there’s RPR Automotive. I’ve heard very good things about these guys.
