Default 993 Swapped for 993

Hello,
I'm new to the forum but wanted to introduce myself. Recently purchase a 1995 993 C2 with the following upgrades.

Polar Silver/Black leather interior - PCA member owned

86,000 mi
Euro transmission G50/21 - Gert in Belgium
Fabspeed Cup exhaust
Moton Club Sport Shocks
Fikse FM5 18” wheels
Upper front tie bar
TRG Adjustable swaybars with custom heim joint links
RS brakes and rotors - front and rear
RS short shifter
RS Flywheel and clutch
RS Steering wheel with airbag removed
Solid motor mounts/Delrin tranny mount
BMC Intake
RS Door panels
Rear wiper delete
RS Washer Bottle
Headlight washer delete
Turbo front bumper (factory), side skirts and Turbo S tail (non-factory)
CDOC Roll bar

Car is intended to be my track car with occasional street duty. I'm new to porsche performance driving as I previously owned
Miatas so I'm sure the learning curve will be steep. Grew up with 911s and finally took the plunge buying my own. Car is in pretty decent condition but is definitely a driver which is perfect for my intended use. Not sure im a fan of the front bumper or Turbo S wing but that can be changed at a later time. Plan to put on new rubber, tackle the race seat install with harnesses, new pads and then she's ready to start learning in. Im in the Tampa area for anyone else close by. Looking forward to meeting people.

Attached a few pictures for people to see. So far loving it. Already had my neighbors call the police for a noise complaint which is perfect.

Congrats and welcome to the club! Looks like you got a VERY well configured car. Very very nice. Looks to be below RS ride height, and if so it's surely borderline undriveable due to the massive bump steer. The only options to solve that are RS wheel carriers or raise it up above RS ride height. Been there done that. Get the RS hubs!

So I've read...Im going to pull the wheels soon to put on new rubber...The list of modifications I got was from the owner prior to who I bought it from. Car has been in storage the last 7 years so Im not sure how complete it is. I need to see if there is anything else before I start buying crap. But yes...car is stupid low. Plan to have the car setup for the track at my local shop so some adjustment is in order.

Very nice! I’d suggest removing the rocker sills/covers as well as the wing.

If this is mainly a track car, that wing will proved to be quite useful in helping attach the car to the track.

If you choose to take off the turbo bumper, I’d be interested in it. Good luck with the setup and congrats on picking up a cool car!

Sure...when I change the panels you can have it for the cost of shipping. I just don't really like it. Not sure why.

That would be great - I’ve always loved the style of that bumper. Let me know! Looks like the color is a match for me too.

I’ll see if I can dig up something interesting to send you in exchange.

A track car need to be stupid low

Before buying anything inspect what's already there, The car appears to be well setup, I'd be surprised if it doesn't already have the correct RS wheel carriers.

The usual things a car like that will have is
RS wheel carriers and tie rods, RSR inners are a +
f/r bushes upgraded to RS spec, w/ harder rubber bushes in selective locations, mono-***** are a +
RS sways
You have the front big reds, I can't see the rears but + if they are RS
hopefully the wheels are at least 8 & 10 x18, + if the fronts are 8.5

Just a suggestion but there are a ton of informative threads to look through here

Ill put it up in the garage and snap some photos...I've been reading like crazy. Plan is to take it out this year and drive it while upgrading little things here and there just to learn to drive the damn thing. Plan is to start ordering parts for the full on build/refurbish. I like that its not perfect at the moment so it will tolerate me sucking lol. Its just a different animal to the Miata but I love it.

Took a shot as best I could...One is the rear breaks and the others are the front assembly. By my untrained eye looks like a stock wheel carrier based on other pictures I've seen.

The rear brakes are either tt or RS, only way to tell is oull the pads, 4x 28mm is tt and 2x30 W/ 2x36 is RS, you want RS

You have RS front sway w/ stock links(that's' strange) can't see the rears

The wheel carriers appear to be stock, mostly because the arm is mounted above the knuckle arm, RS would mount below it, At you ride height you want the RS version of the wheel carrier and outer tie rod and the RSR monoball inners
here's a pic comparing them
short arm RS on the left and long arm stock on right, both have the steering arm to the right
