Default How do I get this inner Door Sill Off?

How do I get this inner plastic

How to get Door Sill Off, without breaking something? Why? It feels loose and clicks with downward pressure. The passenger side is solid, across the whole length of the sill.

Try some interior pry bars the plastic ones. Start at one end and work forward. Once you get it going use hand force.

There are four or five plastic rivet type fasteners that slide into the bottom of the sill then punch down into a sheet metal hole in the body. The fasteners are a one time use you’ll need to buy some.

Most likely you’ll snap the sill so order a new one and fasteners both. My luck is about 50% getting those off unbroken.

if the sill isn’t all the way seated and is loose as you say you can give it a good whack with your hand. It may force the fasteners down further where they still have some good teeth left to bite into the sheet metal hole edge. You’ll understand what I’m describing if you pull it off.

Doing some interior work. Here is what it looks like. Use some of those bezel tools, find the attachment points by feel and slowly pry it off.

Thank you, now I see what’s going on. Those middle fasteners must be shot, or non existent. I knew you guys would have the answer. I’ve been searching on and off for quite a while. Forums, Bentley’s etc. nothing. You guys.....answer in a couple hours! :-). Looks like it will be apart again.

So glad this topic came up! I've been trying to find the part number for this piece on the passenger side as mine has been broken for over a decade!
Anyone have the part number - guessing it's going to be different depending on the side.

If you magnify the third pic, in post #3 you can see a part number. I would assume that’s the driver side, but could be wrong.

Do you know if the push pins are available separately? Got sill off, pins are shot. I think others would work, but don't know if they would pull it down tight, like the OE ones.

993-551-419-00-01C fits both left & right. they have changed since the factory fitted them so you need a clip & grommet now

99950736540 is the clip

99970220250 is the grommet

My sill came off intact. Do I have to get grommets, or just new clips/push-pins #23 99950736540? Thanks!

Guess I’ll get grommets too.

You need both as you cant get the old black clip anymore, they are white and need the grommet to fit properly
